Caretaking services are carried out in many high rise and small blocks by our caretakers, whose job it is to ensure that the general environment in and around blocks of flats is kept clean and tidy.

The caretaker carries out a daily inspection of each floor and the communal areas, including bin areas. He or she will make sure that all the floors are clean and undertake minor maintenance duties such as changing light bulbs and, wherever possible, unblocking rubbish chutes. The caretaker will also report bigger repairs to the repairs service. As well as their cleaning and maintenance role, caretakers also act as an informal information service for tenants, advising them about local facilities and services.
